Sewgirl was established by fashion textile designer and stylist Fiona Hesford.
Working over 20 years in the fashion industry, she spent 6 years in Paris as a design consultant.

Her work as a textile designer sells
worldwide to major US and European
fashion houses and has featured in
Elle Decoration, Sewhip and Marie Claire magazines.

With a passion for 50s,60s and 70s fabrics, patchworking together eclectic patterns, retro styling, haberdashery, cardigans, dresses and all things girly she has launched a series of sewing kits for bags, toys, dolls and children's
clothes.

Fiona runs very popular sewing workshops
from her studio in Worthing, at Clothkits in Chichester and Quilty Pleasures in Brighton, teaching complete beginners how to sew.

Fiona lives and works on the Sussex coast with her husband Mark, twins Alfred and Matilda, Madame Mabelline (the cat)and the allotment.
