Welcome to my workshop page.
I love to teach sewing skills and inspire others to take up this fabulous pastime. Whether you want to sew bags, articles for your home or maybe tackle some clothes making, my Make Your Mother Proud Workshops
are a great way to get you started.
My classes are currently hosted by Clothkits in Chichester and
Fluffatorium in Dorking, so I hope to see you at one these
lovely venues very soon.

LEARN TO SEW 1 (Beginners to sewing on a machine)
An introduction to sewing on a machine including lots of basic techniques to get you started for a beginners to gain confidence and be inspired. You will learn how to thread a sewing machine, sew seams and hems, make an envelope cushion, learn the art of applique and techniques such as buttonholes. We also make a lovely lined bag out of gorgeous fabric.
LEARN TO SEW 2 (Introduction to Dressmaking)
Following on from the first workshop we try out more inspiring techniques such as making darts and pleats, gathering, ways to use seam binding and inserting a zip. Learning how to read a dress pattern and we also make a lined zipped pouch bag with tissue holder to take home.
